Our Staff

Staff has always been a major priority at the Neighborhood Child Care Center. There is strong emphasis placed on education and experience. Todd Greenbaum holds a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University. He has considerable experience in children's programming, community activities and is the Michigan director for the MiAEYC Wolf Trap Program for Early Learning through the Arts. Mary Staperfenne Greenbaum holds a Bachelors degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University. She also holds a Masters degree from Oakland University in Early Childhood Education. She has extensive experience in children and family services and is adjunct professor for the Early Childhood Department at Oakland Community College.
All NC3 staff are carefully screened prior to emplyment. Selection is based upon the individual's history, education and work experience. They must possess a natural, genuine interest and concern in the healthy growth and development of children. Most importantly, they are part of our team because they truly like to "play" with children. Upon hiring, all staff are required to complete the NC3 training program consisting of philosophy, child development and programming. Continuing education of staff is always encouraged.
